Region I Office of Human Development
Who We Are
Since 1976 Region I Office of Human Development has provided community services in the Nebraska Panhandle for people of all ages with developmental disabilities.
To be a learning organization which believes in each individual's capabilities and adds value to the lives of the people with disabilities whom we support, our employees, and the community.
Globally, Special Olympics utilizes an army of more than 500,000 volunteers! In Nebraska alone, we need more than 5,000 volunteers annually to fulfill our mission of providing year-round sports training and competition, leadership training, coaching and working with youth and schools.
Special Olympics Nebraska does not charge athletes to participate and we are able to provide these opportunities by the generosity of our fans who donate their time and provide financial support.
